QUOTES, STORIES AND LIFE TIPS

Rejection doesn’t mean you are not good enough.
A man called his son and showed him a drum shaped old watch.
“This is a watch my grandfather gave me. It is more than 150 years, but before I give it to you. I want you to go to watch shops and know how much they are willing to buy it”, he said.
The son went to the first watch shop. The watchmaker priced it 5 dollar.
He went to the second place and the watchmaker offered to pay 10 dollar.
He went to the third place,
“What kind of watch is this. This watch has no value and I can’t buy this nonsense. Take this and get out of my shop,” the third watchmaker yelled.
The young boy went home feeling sad. He told his dad what happened.
“Don’t be sad my boy. Go to the museum and know how…

Lessons I Learned From How To Stop Worrying And Start Living

TheJourneyOfBookworld

I recently published this article on medium.com where I wrote simple lessons and techniques to stop overthinking and worrying about everything. This lessons are from book How to Stop Worrying and Start Living by Dale Carnegie.

I read this book when I was so stressed about my life and future. Though this book didn’t magically change my life or cure my stress problem instantly. It did give me some good lessons and techniques to work on. Check out full article here.

I Didn’t Read The News Today, Oh Boy!

Pointless Overthinking

By Jack Canfora

In my experience, there is only one true way to tackle a diet: failingly. This perhaps explains why I am becoming the answer to the seldom asked philosophical question, “What would Orson Welles have looked like if he weren’t a genius?”

Having said that, I’m happy to report that my latest diet has been largely successful: a steep reduction in my news consumption. For most of my life, I’ve been an avid follower of politics and current events. I not only found it interesting (for the most part – financial news will forever sound to me like when the adults spoke in those televised Peanuts specials), but if I can climb on my high horse for moment without hurting it or myself too badly, I believe it’s a basic obligation of a citizen of a democracy to stay informed. Please avert your eyes as I try to…

Pro Tip: Don’t be Lazy, Work Hard

Survive Today

As I said last week in my blog “Pro Tip: Don’t Spend All of Your Money,” there are ample words of wisdom to be found in the book of Proverbs. Take Proverbs 10:4 for example. The New International Version of this verse reads, “Lazy hands make for poverty, but diligent hands bring wealth.” I also like the Living Bible translation of this verse, “Lazy men are soon poor; hard workers get rich.” The term “hard workers” really resonates with me.The obvious take-away from this verse is that we need to work hard at our jobs. However, there is another take-away that I get from this verse: we have to work hard in our daily lives.

First, let’s break down what it means to be hardworking. People that are hardworking, according to Merriam-Webster, are peoplethatconstantly, regularly, or habitually engaged in earnest and energetic work. By working hard in…

Change Therapy

Body image is something that many people are concerned about and which has a negative effect on their Mental Health.

Feelings of being low or depressed contribute to anxieties around their appearance, especially when out in the public domain.

Finding clothes that change our outward appearance helps, yet it is inside that the greatest challenges are, which thousands of people have to face each day of their lives.

Below are some suggestions which may help in coping with Body image:

Practice Mindfulness – this involves breathing methods, guided imagery, and other practices to relax the body and mind and help reduce stress.

Speak to someone – sharing your concerns with a GP or therapist, or family and friends; this can help you feel less.

Social Media clearing – Unfollow accounts that make you feel low, and keep the positive people in your profile.

Hold on to the happy times –…
